Chuck is the founder and managing member of corporate financial and business advisory firm, Nature Equity, LLC. Active in investment banking since 1980, Chuck specializes in providing mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, valuation, financial restructuring, business strategy, and financial modeling services to emerging growth and middle market companies. He began serving the natural products industry after radically changing his diet and personal health care practices habits in 1990 to alternative healthcare modalities.

He is also a Managing Director Advisor of Silverwood Partners (SWP) that is a FINRA registered investment banking boutique.  He joins a team that has earned a superlative reputation for providing capital raising and merger & acquisition services to natural product companies. SWP also has deep domain experience in consumer and media technology and healthcare.

Chuck recently closed a management buyout transaction in which the CEO of a rapidly growing branded nutritional products company bought out the majority stockholder. He worked closely with both parties to the transaction and their respective attorneys and accountants to structure a unique transaction that met their respective primary requirements.

He engenders strong client relationships as evidenced by his completion of two or more transactions or projects for over 20 of his clients. He has conceptualized, advised, structured, and supervised scores of capital raising, merger and acquisition, and financial advisory projects for natural product company CEO’s and stockholders. In addition to completing transactions, he assists clients with drafting insightful business plans and financial forecasts, preparing realistic valuation reports, evaluating stockholder liquidity opportunities, providing acquisition search services, assisting in corporate restructurings, and helping resolve the financial aspects of disagreements between stockholders.

Chuck’s earlier career in investment banking included working on Wall Street for 15 years with investment banking firms that primarily focused on middle market and emerging growth companies. One example of his work included leading the team that executed three sequential acquisition transactions for Compact Video, a publicly traded company controlled by a well-known corporate investor. The combined market value of these transactions was over $110 million.

He has served on the board of directors of Albert’s Organics, Teeccino Caffé, and Leroux Creek Foods. He was an early supporter of Vitamin Angels and Slow Money and has been a member of a variety of trade organizations including the Organic Trade Association, the American Herbal Products Association, the American Botanical Council, and the Social Venture Network.
